Osogbo Food Vendor Allegedly Disappears After Collecting Advance Payments
Customers of a food vendor in the Odi-Olowo area of Osogbo have raised concerns after the shop allegedly closed without distributing food items already paid for. The business reportedly attracted buyers with low prices for rice, cooking oil, spaghetti and semovita. Customers were asked to pay in advance and return about a week later to collect their packages. When some customers arrived on Monday, they reportedly found the premises locked and the operators unreachable. A crowd gathered at the location as affected buyers worried about recovering their money. The Osun State Police Command said it had not received a formal complaint about the alleged incident as of the time of the report.
