Katsina Police Arrest 188 Suspects, Rescue 12 Kidnap Victims in March Operations
The Katsina State Police Command says it arrested 188 suspects and freed 12 people kidnapped across the state in March. Those detained include armed robbers, gunrunners, car thieves, homicides suspects, rapists, drug peddlers and bandit informants. A notorious gang member linked to a recent killing is also in custody. Authorities recovered two PKT rifles, two AK-47 rifles, three locally made guns, two ammunition belts and 974 rounds of live ammo. They also seized 30 stolen animals and five motorcycles used in criminal activities. These results stem from intelligence-led raids, inter-agency collaboration, highway patrols and community policing. The rescued victims received medical care and have been reunited with their families. The police commend other security agencies and local communities for their support. They remain committed to protecting lives and property and urge residents to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
