Eko DISCO Leads as Nigerian Power Distributors Bill ₦252.87bn in May

Nigeria’s 11 electricity distribution companies received energy worth ₦328.95 billion in May 2026 and billed customers ₦252.87 billion, giving the sector a national billing efficiency rate of 76.87%. Eko DISCO recorded the highest billing efficiency at 90.66%, followed by Ikeja at 82.86% and Abuja at 81.41%. Kaduna DISCO had the lowest rate at 58.64%, while Ibadan recorded 65.30%. The figures show the gap between energy supplied to DISCOs and what they successfully billed to customers. Eko billed ₦40.52 billion from ₦44.69 billion worth of energy received, while Abuja had the largest energy receipt at ₦51.79 billion.
