Jibrin Urges APC Governors to Stop Public Attacks on Wike

Kano lawmaker Abdulmumin Jibrin has urged APC leaders to stop publicly criticising FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, describing him as a key ally of President Bola Tinubu. Speaking on a television programme, Jibrin said Wike had made major political sacrifices for Tinubu and the APC, including supporting the party’s candidates in the FCT elections. He argued that Wike’s support helped the APC win five of the six Area Councils. Jibrin said governors and other party leaders with concerns about Wike’s role should address them privately. He maintained that Wike’s political coalition is working towards Tinubu’s re-election, despite Wike remaining a member of the PDP.
