Tragedy in Minna: Newly Married Man Macheted to Death by Masked Assailants
A 39-year-old man was attacked and killed at his home opposite Maitumbi Police Station in Minna around 3:30am on May 21, 2026. Neighbours said the victim, who had celebrated his wedding just four months earlier, was ambushed by men wearing masks and struck repeatedly with dangerous weapons. Police officers who rushed to the scene found him lying in a pool of blood and took him to General Hospital, Minna, where a doctor confirmed his death. The Niger State Police Command has launched an investigation and is working to track down the assailants responsible for the killing.
