Operation Safe Schools Oriire: 24/7 Joint Rescue Mission for 39 Abducted Students and Teachers
Oyo State agencies have launched “Operation Safe Schools Oriire” to secure the safe return of 39 students and teachers abducted near the Kishi-Tede forest border. A joint command under Gov Seyi Makinde includes the police SWAT, Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Amotekun, DSS and local hunters. NAF drones and thermal cameras monitor the forest 24/7, while SWAT and Amotekun patrol all exits. Precision strikes on empty camps have cut off kidnappers’ resources. No ransom will be paid – the focus is on a hostage-safe rescue with zero casualties. Citizens can support by sharing only verified updates to the 615 emergency line and avoiding rumours. All victims remain alive, and operations continue around the clock until every child is home.
