INEC Updates NDC Logo and Leadership Details After Abuja Court Ruling
INEC has updated the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) profile on its platform after a Federal High Court ruling in Abuja. The update recognises the party’s modified logo and lists Senator Cleopas Moses Zuwoghe as national chairman. Barrister Ikenna Morgan Enekwelzu is listed as national secretary, while John Odey, Mainasara Abubakar Sani and Reuben Egwuaba are named national treasurer, national financial secretary and national legal adviser respectively. INEC marked the changes as updated by court order. Justice J. O. Abdulmalik ruled on September 8, 2026, that INEC’s refusal to approve the logo adopted at the NDC’s March 25 NEC meeting was unconstitutional. The logo features a two-finger victory sign on a blue background, with “NDC” written in red. The court directed INEC to approve the logo, symbol and colours for the party’s activities and elections, and barred the commission from interfering with their use.
