Which Nigerian Governors Truly Transformed Their States?
Some Nigerian governors leave office with little to show beyond promises. Others are remembered for projects, reforms and policies that continued to shape their states long after their tenure. Names often raised in these debates include Babatunde Fashola in Lagos, Peter Obi in Anambra, Adams Oshiomhole in Edo, Nyesom Wike in Rivers and Nasir El-Rufai in Kaduna. Their supporters point to achievements in roads, public transport, education, healthcare, fiscal management, urban renewal and civil-service reforms. Each record, however, remains open to scrutiny. Transformation is not only about flyovers and new roads.
