The Plateau State Police Command has arrested an additional suspect in connection with the death of 25-year-old Jos model Ibrahim Mbaya, popularly known as Ibee. Mbaya, a University of Jos graduate, was allegedly assaulted by a mob over an accusation of phone theft on July 26. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition after a Good Samaritan alerted the police, but later died from his injuries. Police spokesperson SP Alfred Alabo said the latest suspect, Tisloh Joshua, was arrested after intelligence gathering and an investigation by the State Criminal Investigation Department. Three suspects had previously been arrested, while two others are still being sought. The command condemned jungle justice and said everyone connected to the incident would be identified and prosecuted in accordance with the law.
