Why I Support Atiku’s Call for a Transparent Fuel Subsidy Policy
I support a transparent and accountable approach to fuel subsidy because Nigerians need urgent relief from the rising cost of food, transport and energy. Fuel prices affect nearly every part of daily life, from moving farm produce to work commutes and small-business operations. Any intervention must not revive the old system of corruption and payments to middlemen. It should prioritise local refining, expand domestic production, create jobs and ensure that public funds deliver clear benefits to ordinary Nigerians. I believe economic reforms should protect citizens from extreme hardship while promoting fiscal discipline. Nigerians deserve to know how much is spent, who benefits and how the policy lowers energy and living costs.
