IPMAN Says Petrol Prices May Drop in Abuja Within Days
The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria says filling stations in the Federal Capital Territory may begin reducing petrol pump prices within the next few days. IPMAN spokesperson Chinedu Ukadike said marketers are reviewing their pricing plans ahead of the expected arrival of new petroleum products. He said stations would adjust prices once purchases begin, although no definite date has been confirmed. The announcement follows recent increases in Dangote Refinery’s ex-depot petrol price, which rose from ₦1,165 per litre to as high as ₦1,265 per litre within a week. The increases have already pushed up pump prices across Abuja, leaving many motorists worried about the cost of fuel.
