Bella Accuses Ex Sheggz of Abuse and Attempted Murder in ₦2.5bn Legal Demand
BBNaija star Bella Okagbue has accused her former partner, Sheggz Olusemo, of assault, torture, unlawful confinement and attempted murder in a legal demand sent through her lawyers. The demand alleges that Sheggz assaulted Bella in October 2023, prevented her from leaving his home and subjected her to emotional, physical and psychological abuse. It also cites alleged threats and strangulation claims documented in conversations from November 2025. Bella is seeking the return of ₦19.826 million and £10,237, ₦500 million for alleged breach of promise to marry, and ₦2 billion in damages for alleged trauma. Her lawyers gave Sheggz three days to respond before further legal action. The dispute follows an earlier defamation claim by Sheggz over Bella's allegations that he owed her money. Sheggz has disputed aspects of her claims, saying he believed the relationship could lead to marriage but that persistent disagreements made this unlikely.
