Police Probe Death of 29-Year-Old Bolt Driver Found in Car in Calabar

The Cross River State Police Command has opened an investigation into the death of Emmanuel Effiong Ita, a 29-year-old Bolt driver found inside his Honda City in Calabar. His body was discovered on Friday along the Target–Udy King axis. Police said the circumstances surrounding the death were suspicious. The police recovered the vehicle and said evidence is being preserved for forensic examination. A preliminary examination at the mortuary reportedly found an injury on Ita’s chest. The case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department as detectives work to establish the cause of death and identify anyone responsible.
