INEC: Ekiti Voter Register Tops 1.06 Million as PVC Collection Hits 97.1%
The Independent National Electoral Commission reports that Ekiti State’s registered voters have risen from 987,647 in 2023 to 1,059,360 ahead of the June 20 governorship poll. PVC collection has improved from 958,052 in 2023 to 1,028,929, representing 97.1% of all registrants. The deadline was extended to June 14 to allow final pickups, and 14,406 replacement cards were printed and mostly collected following loss or damage applications. A downloadable PVC option will debut in the Osun election and the 2027 general election once infrastructure is in place. In line with the 2026 electoral guidelines, INEC will transmit two versions of each polling-unit result to the IREV portal: a validated electronic EC8A from BVAS machines and a scanned copy of the signed Form EC8A.
