Bandits Kill Kano APC Ward Chairman, Abduct Traditional Title Holder in Bebeji
Suspected bandits attacked Rantan community in Bebeji Local Government Area of Kano State, killing the APC ward chairman, Alhaji Garba Buba, and another resident, Sulaiman Zunduma. Residents said the gunmen invaded the community late at night and opened fire. Buba was taken to hospital after sustaining gunshot wounds but later died. Another resident, Alhaji Sa’adu, was reportedly injured. The attackers also allegedly abducted the Sarkin Noman Jihar Kano, Alhaji Yusuf Nadabo Chiromawa. The incident has heightened fears in communities near Kano’s borders with Katsina and Zamfara states.
