Warning: Alleged LinkedIn Account Rental Scam in Abuja
I am sharing my experience to warn others about an alleged LinkedIn-account rental scam linked to a page operating as Best Rental Abuja. I was approached with an offer to rent out my LinkedIn account for $100 per week. The person claimed to represent an agency working with foreign businesses. After I handed over my login details, changes were made to my account name and profile picture without my consent. The agreed payment was not made when due, and I have since struggled to regain proper control of the account. Please be cautious of anyone requesting access to your personal or professional social-media accounts for rental purposes. Do not share your login credentials or identity documents without proper verification.
