VDM Alleges ₦96m Customs Auction Scam, Seeks Refund for Businessman

Social media commentator VeryDarkMan has alleged that a businessman lost ₦96 million in a purported Nigeria Customs Service auction for eight containers of vehicles. He said the businessman was told the containers had been seized and were available for ₦12 million each. The businessman allegedly sought confirmation at the Customs headquarters in Abuja before making payment, after being taken to an Assistant Comptroller-General’s office. VDM alleged that the payment was made to an account linked to a named individual, but the containers were not delivered. He said the businessman is demanding a refund and has pursued the matter in court without getting the outcome he wanted. The allegations, including claims about officials and the court case, have not been independently verified. VDM has called for the full ₦96 million to be recovered.
