Ogun Man Jailed 12 Years for Trafficking Two 15-Year-Olds to Ghana
A 27-year-old, Chukwuemeka Iheamama, has been sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment for trafficking two 15-year-olds to Ghana for prostitution. He was convicted at the Federal High Court in Abeokuta on three counts under the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act. Iheamama received concurrent sentences: two years and ₦250,000 fine on one count; five years and ₦500,000 fine on a second; and five years on the third. NAPTIP’s Ogun State Commander said Iheamama was arrested in Agbara in April 2025 by police and transferred to NAPTIP for prosecution. He was arraigned in June 2025 and found guilty in May 2026.
