Bauchi Police Arrest 22-Year-Old Over Alleged Fatal Farmland Dispute
Bauchi State Police Command says it has arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with the death of Haruna Bala after a dispute over farmland in Kafin Sarkin Yaki village, Kirfi Local Government Area. Police said the disagreement escalated into a fight on September 17, during which the suspect allegedly stabbed Bala in the neck. Bala was taken to General Hospital, Kirfi, where he was confirmed dead. The suspect was reportedly arrested the following day at River Kafin Iya while allegedly attempting to cross into Gombe State. Police said a knife believed to have been used in the incident was recovered.
