House Minority Caucus, G-100 Form Alliance to Unite Opposition Ahead of 2027

The House of Representatives Minority Caucus and the G-100 have agreed to form an alliance aimed at strengthening opposition cooperation ahead of the 2027 general elections. After their meeting at the National Assembly, Minority Leader Fred Agbedi said the partnership would help opposition parties present a stronger alternative to the APC-led government. He urged party leaders and presidential hopefuls to put personal ambitions aside and work together. Agbedi said economic and social hardship had increased the need for a coordinated opposition. The groups also announced an opposition summit for August 31, where they plan to outline further steps towards building a united front for 2027.
