Ejiofor Urges Benue Youths to Support Community Security After Ayilamo Attack
Human rights lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor has called for Benue youths to channel their energy into lawful community vigilance, intelligence gathering and support for security agencies following the reported attack on Ayilamo in Logo LGA. The attack reportedly killed four police officers and seven residents. Ejiofor questioned why communities facing recurring violence remain vulnerable while youths can mobilise quickly for political actions. He urged Governor Hyacinth Alia, the Federal Government and security agencies to improve protection for vulnerable communities, including Yelwata, Ayilamo, Otukpo Nobi and Ugboju. He also renewed calls for properly regulated state policing and warned against using young people for political thuggery.
