Husband and Wife’s Boyfriend Arrested After Brutal Bat Attack at Grocery Store
A husband and his wife’s lover were both arrested after a violent confrontation outside a grocery store in the United States. Edward Lee McGill, 59, faces attempted murder charges. Police say Raymond Jett followed his wife and her boyfriend to a Food Lion parking lot. An argument turned physical when Jett allegedly struck McGill in the head. McGill then retrieved a metal baseball bat and hit Jett multiple times in the head, neck and shoulder. Witnesses told officers the men continued fighting even after bystanders tried to intervene. Jett is charged with third-degree assault and battery and three counts of unlawfully placing a child at risk. McGill is held on a $300,000 bond at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
