A man who followed me on social media in February said he liked me and wanted a relationship. He introduced himself as an engineer, but later said he had lost his job and was depressed. He asked to visit me, even though we had never met, but said he had no money for transport. I borrowed money from a friend and sent it to him. On the day he was meant to arrive, he disappeared until I called. He then gave an inconsistent story about being arrested with his neighbour. In May, he asked to visit again. I sent transport fare once more, but he ghosted me and later claimed his brother had an accident. He has never offered to refund the money.
