2026 Headies: FOLA Earns 10 Nominations as Davido Bags 8

FOLA leads the 2026 Headies Awards nominations with 10 nods, while Davido follows with eight. The 18th edition of the awards is scheduled to hold in Canada on October 23, 2026. FOLA, Davido, Wizkid, Omah Lay, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Asake, Tems, Tiwa Savage and Rema are among the artistes competing across major categories. The nominees include Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Next Rated, Best Male Artiste, Best Female Artiste and Afrobeats Single of the Year. Davido and Omah Lay's “With You”, FOLA's “You”, Burna Boy's “Bundle by Bundle”, Shallipopi's “Laho” and Rema's “Fun” are nominated for Afrobeats Single of the Year. Wizkid's “Morayo”, Omah Lay's “Clarity of Mind”, FOLA's “Catharsis”, Tiwa Savage's “This One Is Personal” and Burna Boy's “No Sign of Weakness” are in contention for Album of the Year. The awards also recognise rap, R&B, alternative music, gospel, music videos, live performances and artistes from across Africa and the diaspora. Fido, FOLA, Llona, Mavo and Shoday are nominated for Next Rated.
