Police Arrest Suleja Teenagers Over Alleged Fake Kidnapping Plot for ₦200,000

Niger State Police have arrested two teenagers in Suleja over an alleged plan to stage a kidnapping and demand ₦200,000 from one suspect’s father. Police said the 15-year-old left home after attending church on 20 July and did not return. His family reportedly received a call the next day claiming he had been kidnapped and demanding a ransom. Detectives traced him to a hotel in Suleja on 25 July, where he was allegedly found with his 17-year-old accomplice. The police said both suspects confessed to planning to share the money and are being held for further investigation before arraignment.
