FG Records ₦4.69tn Q1 Deficit as Revenue Falls ₦4.14tn Short of Target

The Federal Government recorded a fiscal deficit of ₦4.69 trillion in the first quarter of 2026. Revenue reached ₦5.08 trillion, falling ₦4.14 trillion short of the quarterly target of ₦9.22 trillion. Expenditure was ₦9.76 trillion, below its target of ₦17.08 trillion.
