Russia Resumes Diesel Exports as Global Fuel Markets Seek Relief
Russia has partially resumed diesel exports after easing restrictions introduced earlier this month. A tanker carrying about 40,000 metric tonnes of ultra-low sulphur diesel was loaded at Primorsk port and reportedly headed for Morocco. The Kremlin says additional shipments could support fuel supplies, although the initial volume is too small to resolve wider shortages. Russia is expected to release more diesel in the coming months, subject to refinery output and transport capacity. Global diesel prices remain under pressure from Middle East supply disruptions, high shipping costs and refinery problems in several countries. Any sustained increase in Russian exports could ease wholesale fuel prices, with possible implications for fuel importers, transport firms and consumers worldwide.
