Toluwanisings’ Father and Widow Disagree Over Burial Location
The father of late gospel singer Toluwanisings says he and the singer’s widow have different views on where he should be laid to rest. Muniru Adekunle Olayemi said he wanted his son buried at the house he built. He said the widow preferred a cemetery or church burial because she would not be comfortable living in a home where her husband was buried. As an alternative, Olayemi proposed that the singer be buried beside his late mother in Ikirun, Osun State. He also disputed reports about the singer’s age, saying Toluwanisings was 34 when he died in Ibadan on October 14, 2026. The final burial location had not been publicly confirmed. A service of songs and night of tributes was scheduled for October 27 in Ibadan.
