IDF Drives Hezbollah Beyond Litani River, Destroys Nearly 500 Sites
Israeli forces continue advancing south of the Litani River to push Hezbollah operatives away from the northern border. Engineering units systematically map and demolish militant infrastructure, including caves and hidden tunnels. Troops report uncovering vast stockpiles of weapons, drones and ammunition along with food, water and shelter supplies. Many of these sites are found in open terrain carved into rock or inside civilian homes repurposed for attacks. The military has cleared almost 20 kilometers of routes across southern Lebanon and destroyed about 500 locations used by Hezbollah. Commanders say this operation will reduce fire toward border communities and weaken militant coordination. Northern Command will soon present political leaders with a plan to control frontline villages. The proposal includes legal authorizations for further demolitions and a security zone to maintain long-term stability along Israel’s northern border.
