Anambra SSG Says Soludo Nominated Her as Focal Person for Alleged Fake Agency
Anambra State Secretary to the Government, Chiamaka Nnake, says her involvement with the alleged fraudulent Made-in-Nigeria agency was limited to an official nomination by Governor Chukwuma Soludo. Nnake said the state government received a letter in January 2026 from an office presented as operating under the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. She said Soludo nominated her as Anambra’s focal person in February, after which focal persons from the 36 states were added to a WhatsApp group. She said the office later proposed a South-East Made-in-Nigeria Fair in Anambra, scheduled for December 2 to 5, 2026, and the state approved preparations. Nnake maintained that she had no knowledge of or involvement in activities outside those official engagements. The ICPC is investigating the National Brands Development and Made-in-Nigeria Special Project Office, which it alleges operated without proper authorisation. The allegations have not been determined by a court.
