Cleric’s Prayer for Tinubu in Israel Sparks Political Debate
Rev. Ezekiel Danchomo, a Plateau-based COCIN cleric who has previously criticised the government over insecurity, prayed for President Bola Tinubu and his administration during a visit to Israel. He said he was praying for Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Nigeria and Tinubu’s government, adding that any evil plan against the administration had been uprooted. The prayer has sparked criticism from some opposition supporters. I believe it is unfair to treat anyone who prays for the country’s leadership as disloyal to the opposition, especially when Nigeria’s progress in security and the economy would benefit all citizens.
