Police Arrest Three Suspected Kidnappers in Kwara, One Found in Hijab
The Kwara State Police Command says it has arrested three suspected members of a kidnapping syndicate linked to several abductions in the state. Police said one suspect, Aliyu Isiaka, was intercepted in Okolowo, Ilorin, on October 24 while wearing female attire and a hijab. He was allegedly carrying a bag containing charms. Investigators said Isiaka allegedly confessed to belonging to a nine-member gang accused of kidnapping victims in Oloru, Alapa and Malete for ransom. A joint operation by police officers and Forest Guards reportedly led to the arrest of two more suspects at a camp on October 25. The suspects are being investigated and will be charged in court when investigations are completed. Police said the alleged gang leader remains at large.
