Over 150 Terror Suspects Surrender to Troops in North-East, Military Says
More than 150 suspected terrorists, including commanders, fighters and affiliates, surrendered to troops of Operation Hadin Kai in the North-East within the past week, the military has said. The military said the figure is significantly higher than the more than 50 people who surrendered the previous week. It attributed the development to sustained intelligence-led operations, increased military pressure and non-kinetic efforts aimed at encouraging fighters to leave insurgent groups. Some of those who surrendered reportedly handed over weapons and ammunition. The military said they have been profiled and documented in line with established procedures, while troops continue operations to disrupt terrorist logistics, recruitment and supply networks across the region.
