Fufore LG Chairman Yahya Saidu Dies, 18 Months After Predecessor’s Death

Yahya Saidu, chairman of Fufore Local Government Area in Adamawa State, has died, according to Aliyu Wakili, the lawmaker representing Fufore/Song Federal Constituency. Wakili described Saidu’s death as a major loss to the people of Fufore and Adamawa State. He offered prayers for the late chairman’s family, associates and constituents. Saidu succeeded Shuaibu Babas, who died in office on 23 April 2025. The deaths of two successive Fufore council chairmen within about 18 months have drawn mourning and reflections on the fragility of life and public office.
