Bandits Abduct Kwara Village Head’s Wife, Demand ₦20m Using Another Victim’s TikTok Account
Armed bandits have abducted Iya Ayoka, the first wife of the Baale of Dabu community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State. The attackers reportedly invaded the community on the night of August 21, 2026, and took her to an unknown location. Residents say the incident has increased fear in the area amid recurring kidnappings in Kwara South. The kidnappers are also alleged to be using the TikTok account of another abducted resident, 23-year-old Babatunde Fasilat, to demand a ₦20 million ransom and communicate publicly. Fasilat was reportedly abducted earlier in August after her father was shot during the attack.
