Texas Woman and Four-Year-Old Daughter Die After Custody Ruling

A 35-year-old woman, Cibelle Savella, died in hospital after police said she shot her four-year-old daughter, Vivian, before shooting herself at their Houston home. Officers responded to reports of gunfire on Monday evening and found Vivian with a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene, while her mother was taken to hospital in critical condition. The incident occurred hours after a family court reportedly awarded primary custody of Vivian to her father, Aaron Savella. The planned handover was expected to take place the following day.
