Nigeria Police, INTERPOL Discuss Stronger Cross-Border Crime Fighting
The Nigeria Police Force and INTERPOL have discussed closer cooperation to track fugitives and disrupt criminal networks operating across borders. At a meeting in Lyon, France, the delegation explored improved intelligence sharing, access to INTERPOL databases and stronger coordination against cybercrime, terrorism, financial crime, corruption and organised crime. Officials also received briefings on regional policing initiatives, including programmes designed to strengthen cooperation across West Africa. The discussions are expected to support intelligence-led investigations and fugitive tracking involving Nigeria.
