Kano DSP Sani Isah Shot Dead in Thugs Clash Weeks Before Retirement
A veteran officer of the Hotoro Division, DSP Sani Isah, was shot during a violent clash between rival thugs in Kano State just weeks before his planned retirement. He and colleagues were deployed to disperse fighting groups when one thug fired a dane gun, striking him. He was rushed to the hospital but was confirmed dead. The officer, who had served for more than 30 years, was described as a respected figure who contributed greatly to his community. Kano has experienced a recent surge in thuggery-related violence across several areas, including Fagge, Abattoir Market, Koki, Kurnar Asabe, Hotoro and Gyadi-Gyadi.
