Labour Minister Receives New Book on Social Security and NSITF Reform

Minister of Labour and Employment Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi has received a new book examining social security in Nigeria and the role of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund. The book, *Rethinking Social Security in Nigeria: The Role of NSITF*, explores the legal, policy and institutional framework for social protection. It gives particular attention to the Employees’ Compensation Scheme administered by NSITF. Dingyadi said stronger social-security institutions can support human capital, poverty reduction and inclusive economic growth. The 16-chapter book is intended to provide evidence-based insights for policymakers, academics and other stakeholders.
