Omokri Cites 1996 Photo to Challenge Atiku’s Claim That Tinubu Is 90

Reno Omokri has challenged Atiku Abubakar’s claim that President Bola Tinubu is 90 years old, citing a photograph said to show Tinubu with Dele Momodu in London in 1996. Atiku made the allegation during a BBC interview, saying he had evidence and would present it in court. Omokri argued that if Tinubu were 90 in 2026, he would have been about 60 when the photo was taken, and asked whether he appeared that age. Tinubu’s publicly stated date of birth is March 29, 1952, which makes him 74 in 2026. Omokri urged politicians to focus on insecurity, the economy and other issues affecting Nigerians rather than personal attacks over age. Atiku, the ADC presidential candidate for 2027, also said he remains fit to contest and promised to address insurgency and insecurity if elected.
