I keep attracting men I do not feel connected to, while the ones I genuinely like rarely feel the same way. People then blame me for being single, as if I should force myself to accept anyone who shows interest. I do not need a man to look like Brad Pitt or have Elon Musk’s money. I simply have a type and certain qualities that genuinely attract me. A man has been begging to take me out, but I do not feel anything for him and he is not my spec. The few men I have truly liked have also come with serious red flags. One turned out to be a chronic womaniser, while another was a thief. I ended both situations because I know I deserve better. Is dating really this difficult for everyone, or will I eventually find someone where the feelings are mutual?
