Zelensky Urges Stronger Pressure on Russia as Ukraine Faces Harsh Winter

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has urged the international community to increase diplomatic and economic pressure on Russia, warning that the war could cause wider harm if left unchecked. Speaking at the United Nations General Assembly, Zelensky said Ukraine expects a difficult winter as Russia continues to target energy and heating infrastructure. He said Ukraine would continue defending itself and called for more air-defence systems, sanctions and support from its allies. His remarks came after a major Russian attack on Kyiv that reportedly killed at least two people. Zelensky also said Ukraine had captured two North Korean soldiers, though South Korea did not confirm the claim, citing concerns for their families.
