ADC Chieftain Ladan Predicts Atiku’s Strength in South-South, Doubts Obi’s Northern Chances
Salihu Ladan, an ADC chieftain, says former Vice President Atiku Abubakar could receive strong support in the South-South and secure at least 25 per cent of votes in several Southwest states ahead of the 2027 presidential election. Speaking during a television interview, Ladan said he believes Atiku would perform strongly in the South-South. He also projected that Peter Obi may struggle to reach the 25 per cent threshold in most northern states, although he said Obi could achieve it in one state. The remarks are Ladan’s personal assessment of possible voting patterns ahead of 2027. The eventual outcome will depend on party structures, campaigns, voter decisions and the conduct of the election.
