Gunmen Kill Three Women at Plateau Mining Site

Gunmen reportedly attacked a mining site in Rakum community, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, killing three women and injuring another person. The attackers allegedly opened fire on workers at about 4:30pm on Monday before fleeing. Community representatives and residents have called for an investigation and stronger security around mining sites. The incident has renewed concerns over insecurity in parts of Plateau State, including Barkin Ladi, Mangu and Bokkos, where violent attacks have been reported in recent times.
