Wisconsin Fraternity Leaders Arrested Over Alleged Hazing of 30 Pledges

Two leaders of an unrecognised Alpha Epsilon Pi chapter in Wisconsin have been arrested following allegations of hazing at a fraternity house. Police said they found about 30 pledges in a basement, many partially clothed and covered in food and condiments. Some reportedly had injuries consistent with physical assault, while the room’s thermostat was set to 81°F. Most of those present were said to be 18 years old. The university said it takes hazing allegations seriously and that students found to have violated the law or school rules could face disciplinary action. The allegations have not been proven in court.
