Boko Haram Commander, Three Fighters and Woman Surrender to Troops in Borno
A Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad (JAS) commander, three fighters and a woman have surrendered to troops of Operation HADIN KAI in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State. The five people reportedly surrendered on Friday night after clashes between JAS and ISWAP fighters, alongside sustained intelligence-led military operations. The group was said to have come from the Bula Daloye area before reporting to troops in the Kumburi area. Troops recovered 358 rounds of 7.62 x 54mm ammunition and three rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition. The surrendered individuals and recovered items are in military custody as operations continue across the North-East.
