ADC Demands Independent Judicial Probe into PFIPC Fraud Allegations at the Presidency
The African Democratic Congress has urged President Tinubu to set up an independent judicial panel to investigate the disputed Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). The presidency insists the PFIPC does not exist under this administration, but its convener, Adeniyi Adeyemi, points to budget allocations and recruitment approvals as proof of its operations. Adeyemi also accuses the president’s chief of staff of demanding a ₦400 million bribe and challenges claims that his appointment was forged. The ADC proposes the panel summon top officials—including the chief of staff, SGF, head of the civil service, budget office DG, security agencies, CBN and relevant National Assembly committees—to determine if public funds or office were abused. The party says Nigerians deserve clear answers on how a purportedly fictitious body secured official recognition, budget lines and diplomatic engagements across multiple arms of government.
