After More Than 10 Years of Trying, I’m Finally Admitted to Study Medicine at ESUT
After more than a decade of writing JAMB and pursuing my dream of studying Medicine and Surgery, I’ve finally received admission to ESUT. I first studied Microbiology at the same university, graduating with a first-class result, but I was unable to switch to Medicine. I later worked in different roles, including leaving a job that paid nearly ₦500,000 a month in 2024 to focus on another attempt at JAMB. After another disappointment, I returned to my books in 2026 and received my admission offer on October 15. I’m grateful to God and to everyone who encouraged me along the way. I know medical school will be demanding, but I’m proud to be starting this next chapter and working toward becoming a doctor. My journey has reminded me that a dream can take longer than expected. I hope it encourages anyone who is still working toward a goal not to give up simply because the path has been difficult.
