Tinubu Vows Crackdown on Bandits After Oyo School Kidnap, Promises Breakthrough Soon
President Bola Tinubu has condemned the killing of a teacher abducted during last Friday’s attack on schools in Esiele community, Oyo State. He described the act as barbaric and inhuman. He assured Nigerians that the Federal Government is working with Oyo State and security agencies to secure the release of the remaining hostages. The President praised the swift intervention of the Police and Intelligence Response Team. Bandits invaded Community Grammar School, Baptist Nursery and Primary School, and L.A. Primary School. Tinubu said the Inspector-General of Police is personally coordinating a technology-driven operation to rescue victims and apprehend kidnappers and their collaborators. He warned that all perpetrators would face the full wrath of the law and urged the National Assembly to fast-track the creation of state police to bolster security in vulnerable communities.
