Bandits Abduct Kaduna Lawmaker’s Brother, Kill Three Vigilance Officers

Suspected bandits have abducted Sanusi, the younger brother of Shehu Pambegua, the Kaduna State House of Assembly member representing Kubau Constituency. The victim was reportedly taken from his home in Pambegua, Kubau Local Government Area, at about 10 p.m. on Monday. The attackers were said to have arrived in a Sharon vehicle. Earlier, three Kaduna State Vigilance Service officers were killed on the Zaria–Pambegua road after pursuing a suspicious red Volkswagen Golf that refused to stop at a security check. The suspects allegedly opened fire during the chase, killing Dallami Dantani, Abdullahi Hamisu and Zakariyya Musa. Security personnel have increased surveillance in Pambegua and nearby communities as efforts continue to rescue the abducted victim and arrest the attackers.
